Christmas Tree Sale
The United Methodist Men’s Annual Christmas Tree Sale will begin on Thursday, December 5. Trees will be available for sale daily until they sell out. Volunteers are needed to unload the trees (between 2-3 PM on Dec. 4), help setup, and run the Christmas Tree Sale
Advent Study
The Weary World Rejoices
You are invited to join us this Advent through study and reflection of Kate Bowler’s newest Advent study, The Weary World Rejoices. Kate Bowler is a New York Times bestselling author, award-winning podcast host, and Professor of Religious History at Duke University. Her study will offer you the opportunity to connect with four different promises of the season: Truth, Compassion, Restoration, and Justice.
Messiah Sing-Along
Join Fairlington UMC for the 21st Annual Handel’s Messiah Sing-Along, Sunday December 8, 2024, at 4 PM! This premier musical event is a highlight of the Christmas season in Northern Virginia that you don't want to miss, with guest soloists and Sing-Along Chorus led by Fairlington’sChoir, under the direction of Dr. Louise Wilson. Admission to the Messiah sing-along and parking are FREE to all.
FUMC is continuing our partnership with ALIVE! by hosting a monthly food distribution pop-up. Every 3rd Saturday of the month we need a team of 10-12 volunteers to hand out food to our neighbors.
The Heart of Generosity

This year, as we embark on our annual Giving Campaign, we invite you to join us in a journey of generosity, inspired by our collective commitment to nurture our church family and extend our impact beyond our walls. We encourage you to reflect on how you can support our Giving campaign with a generous heart. Your commitment to giving will ensure that we continue to thrive as a beacon of hope and compassion in our community.
We need at least 6 volunteers to help with furniture delivery on the second Saturday of each month. We will meet in the FUMC parking lot at 7:30 AM and will finish up by 1 PM. We’ll need a volunteer to drive the truck and someone to drive their car with other volunteers to follow the truck to our deliveries.
